Formed at Tufts University in 2006. Comprised (left to right) Job Mukkada (bass), Adam Abrutyn (drums), Ezra Furman (vocals and guitar, some mouth organ), and Andrew Langer (guitar). The band also originally included Jahn Sood. The band signed with Minty Fresh records in 2007, releasing Banging Down the Doors the same year and Inside the Human Body in 2008. While between labels they released Moon Face, an album of live tracks and some solo songs from Furman. When people ordered this album online they could request a song about themselves and this would be recorded as an additional track on the album. In 2011 they released their third and final studio album, Mysterious Power, through Red Parlor Records.
