I decided to post this track coz i heard it at Taboo, Singapore on last Saturday night. This track was supposed to be released in last November. But it got scraped; probably because it was heading to flopville. Her previous single "I Can Feel You" was already in flop land. Hopefully she will get a good single out to turn things around.

The first single from their upcoming tenth studio album titled 'Yes', which will released on 23rd March 2009. This song is co-written by Pet Shop Boys with hit production team Xenomania (Girls Aloud, Sugababes) who also produced the track with PSB (Pet Shop Boy for short). This single will be release on 16th March 2009, both physical and digital.

As from the last Brit awards post, PSB has received an award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, which they rightfully deserves after all these years in the music industry since the early 80s. I came to know about them was on their cover version of the Village People's 'Go West'. Very inspirational for me. It is considered as one of their biggest hit. Another worthy note is that they did justice for remixing Madonna's 'Sorry'. The PSB Maxi Mix of 'Sorry' is one of the best remixes in my Ipod. =)

They also co-wrote a song with Xenomania for Girls Aloud on their recent 20th single release, 'The Loving Kind'. I considered this song as one of my favs from Girls Aloud. Especially the following part of the lyrics, "Somewhere on a Monday Morning, in a rush hour of another day. Standing on a crowded platform, carelessly we lost our way." The song is quite haunting and it's been stuck to my head ever since.

Now for my impression of 'Love etc'. The original radio-edit/album version feels more Xenomania than PSB, though there are some elements which is distinctly PSB. The beats are more Xenomania kinda feeling. I took a few listens to get use to it, but it's a top-notch production and collaboration. =)

Hence, there's the PSB Mix of the song, which I can bop my head to on my first listen. I guess PSB is the only band that remixes their own songs (they did it for some of their past singles too). Among the remixes, this is my fave. The pulsating Electro-synth feels of the whole song is slightly different from the original mix, which is good (am an electro-dance kinda guy, beats are very important). PSB loves doing their own way and I'm sure the fans would definitely love this too.

Looking forward to their album end March. =) Enjoy!!!

Dj Escape & Tony Coluccio collaboration is not bad! But how come Freemasons is not doing this track this time around?
