Booty Luv - Don't Mess With My Man

Apr 24th, 2009; 11:36 pm (GMT+8) 1

[REPOST] Posted the wrong links... now fixed!

With the first 3 singles doing cover songs of other artists, Booty Luv kinda played it safe but they did add their own twist to the songs which makes it sound fresh. Being the 3rd single, "Don't Mess With My Man" covers Lucy Pearl's original. (They are a R&B group that consist of famed producer Raphael Saadiq back in the early 00s)

Booty Luv's version was released a week before their debut album was released, and had a good chart performance at number 11 on the UK singles chart and number 1 on the UK dance chart.

Seamus Haji does his "Big Love" remix again on this song. YAY!!! This song sends across a 'mark my territorial' message. Yeap, I would not like anyone to mess with my partner, that's for sure. =) A worthy note is that the Booty Luv version of the song is produced by Bimbo Jones.

Booty Luv - Shine

Apr 23rd, 2009; 4:35 pm (GMT+8) 1

Originally sung by Soul Singer Luther Vandross, Booty Luv covered the song and released it as their 2nd single, less than a year from the original release of the song by Vandross. "Shine" is well received by the radio and is added to BBC's Radio 1's A-playlist. The song peaked at numer 10 on the UK singles chart.

LOVES the Moto Blanco remix the most. As usual, he does amazing stuff. Helps that the album mix is already disco-ey enough. The song marries soul with disco. Ah, I could imagine Studio 54. Heh. One of my fave songs of their debut album. =)

As a bonus, I've added the Freemasons Club Mix of the Luther Vandross version, which is also great stuff. Enjoy!!! =)

This single is the 2nd single from the album, "Junior", by Röyksopp. They are a Norwegian electronic music duo based in Bergen. The single will feature vocals of Swedish singer, Robyn, and will be released on 25th May 2009.

This song is a electro-pop good-ness!!! Big chorus, vocal are real good. The song tells a tale too. As stated in the title. =) Enjoy!!!

Wynter Gordon - Hands Up

Apr 16th, 2009; 3:27 pm (GMT+8) 0

I'm sure everyone is familiar with "Sugar" by Flo-Rida from his recent "R.O.O.T.S" album. It features Wynter Gordon on the guest vocals.

This song is reportedly to be on her mixtape, instead of her album. Maybe a warm-up to the album perhaps. =)

Alesha Dixon - Colours Of The Rainbow

Apr 14th, 2009; 11:36 am (GMT+8) 1

Only being released in certain parts of Euroupe as a digital-only single, this song doesn't appears on the album. Compared to "Let's Get Excited", "LGE" is catchier. "LGE" is like "Single Ladies" by Beyonce, after the chorus, if you all get what I mean. It's not as annoying as "Single Ladies" though. Vid's is good too.

Release date is on 23rd March 2009. "Colours Of The Rainbow" is a grower. An ok single choice. Enjoy!!! =)
